Experience
| Jan 2005 – Aug 2008 | The Best Media.com | Lead Technical Designer |
| At The Best Media, I was responsible for everything IT related. This spanned from ensuring our Linux server was still serving our hosting customers, to developing and maintaining client websites. During my time here, I honed my web development skills to master HTML4, XHTML, PHP, Javascript (Ajax, jQuery) and Flash Actionscript. I also dabbled in many other clients' web technologies including ASP, .NET (ASP, and C#), eRuby, Python and Perl. | ||
| Jan 2004 – Sept 2004 | ICA Microsystems | Hardware Technician |
| ICA Microsystems provided me with additional experience in many facets of IT businesses. While at ICA Microsystems I built, repaired and serviced all types of systems ranging from desktop PCs all the way up to the servers from our rack mounted server farm. | ||
| Jan 2002 - Sept 2003 | Compuresource | Hardware Technician |
| At Compuresource I started as a sales associate, and quickly demonstrated my technical ability and know how. I progressed from sales associate up to Junior Technician in less than 6 months. Eager to move higher, I again established my technical prowess and moved to the position of Technician where I repaired all types of PCs, computer hardware and laser printers. | ||
| May 2001 -Sept 2002 | The Hosting Hub | Sales & Technical Support |
| The Hosting Hub was a great learning experience for me where I learned the ins and outs of business with this small company. I was taught the inner workings of DNS servers, Domain Registration, and was in charge of distributing internet hosting. This is also where I got my first taste of professional web design. | ||
Skills
| Computer |
| I have worked (and played) with computers my entire life, and have developed a knack for learning anything I don't already know about them in order to solve any problem I'm faced with. I am a skilled programmer, with my focus being mostly with web based languages. I have mastered PHP, Javascript (Ajax, jQuery), (X)HTML, and Flash Actionscript to the point where I rarely need to consult API documentation. I have some experience in other languages as well, such as .NET (ASP, C#, and VB), Perl, Ruby, Java, and Python. I am always eager to learn a new programming language. I am also a skilled hardware technician with the ability to trouble shoot, and repair all kinds of computer hardware, from Macs to PC's to laptops and even laser printers. I have experience working on and repairing them all. In addition to programming and system repair, I have experience administering Linux (Apache and Lighttpd) and Windows (IIS) servers. Configuring e-mail, hosting accounts, firewalls, and other basic system administration tasks. |
| Other Assets and Skills |
| I am an excellent team player, and a very friendly outgoing person. I am extremely creative, I speak and write English fluently and have won several oral communication awards. I have a ‘G’ driver’s license, and am able to commute anywhere in the GTA. |
Education

| After 2 years in the ‘Computer Programmer’ program, I am taking a break to save money and pursue other interests. | ||
